If you own a new HP Envy 4520, you have to setup before you can start using the printer. HP Envy 4520 setup can be done in three phases:

Hardware setup
Wireless setup
Software setup

Hardware setup also consists of setting up the physical parts of the HP Envy 4520 printer. Wireless setup is to connect the printer to your wi-fi network without any physical connection. JetIntelligence technology by HP is a bundle of printing features: page maximizer technology, print gauge technology, ColorSphere 3 toner or precision black toner, anti-fraud technology, and auto seal removal. JetIntelligence is available only with Original HP Toner cartridges.

First, open the box and verify if all the parts in the list are present in the box
Then, remove all the packaging materials and protective tapes from outside and inside of the printer.
Next, find the power cord and connect it from the rear end of the printer to the electrical outlet.
Now, press the power button and turn on the printer.
Next, Follow the instructions on the control panel to finish the setup.
Now, load paper in the paper tray by pulling it to open, insert paper and push.

Now you have to insert the cartridges. For this you have to open the access door on the top of the printer and lift the lid on the carriage slot. Then remove the plastic tape on the new cartridge and insert the cartridge into the empty slot. Now close the lid and the access door.

Immediately after this, the printer automatically starts the alignment process. If not, you can also do it manually, by pressing the setup button on the control panel. Setup -> Tools -> Align Printer. Now, the alignment process starts and an alignment page is printed.

HP Envy 4520 Software Setup for Windows:

After the wireless setup is done, remove any USB cable connected to the printer.

Now go to 123.hp.com/setup 4520 or 123.hp.com/envy4520

Then, confirm your printer model and go to the download page. Now, you can download either the full feature driver or Basic Driver.

HP Envy 4520 Software Setup for Mac:

Software setup for Mac is similar to that of Windows. After choosing the connection type, wireless setup is done, remove any USB cable connected to the printer.

Now go to 123.hp.com/setup 4520 or 123.hp.com/envy4520

Then, confirm your printer model and go to the download page.

The HP install assistant also helps you in identifying the operating system you are using in the computer where the driver is going to be installed. It also identifies other details and based on that, suggests you the appropriate printer driver.

Now, download either the full feature driver or Basic Driver.

HP Envy 4520 Wireless Setup for Windows:

First, place your printer close to the computer.

Then, HP software installer now performs the steps to connect your printer to the wireless network.

HP Auto Wireless Connect
The ‘Printer Network Connection’

For HP Auto Wireless Connect , select Yes, access my router-> Next.

Now, follow the instructions on screen to complete the wireless network setup for the HP Envy 4520 printer.

For ‘ Printer Network Screen’, as per the on screen instructions, select one of the following:

If the HP Envy 4520 printer’s IP address is not known, select Not Connected -> Wireless Off -> Next

If you know your HP Envy 4520 printer’s IP address, first select Connected, enter the IP Address and then click Next. Then, follow the instructions on screen to complete the wireless network setup for the HP Envy 4520 printer.

HP Envy 4520 Wireless Setup for Mac:
